We were founded as West Michigan Gleaners, Inc. in 1981, six months after the Rev. Don Eddy rescued a truckload of perfectly good carrots from being put in the landfill. He knew people who were struggling to put food on their tables, and he wanted to help them.
In the 43 years since then, we have
provided over 500 million meals’ worth of food to our community.
