If you’ve been to the Food Bank recently, you’ve probably noticed an abundance of Kellogg Company products on the shelves.

Kellogg is a national partner of Feeding America and donates food throughout the year. Most recently, our food bank has benefited from hundreds of thousands of pounds that include Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts and other food items, some produced right here in Grand Rapids.

In fact, Kellogg donated more than 1 million meals to Feeding America West Michigan in 2013, putting them in the number two spot on our list of food donors.

Kellogg Company Director of Corporate Social Responsibility Julie Bosley said that it’s satisfying knowing that a West Michigan-based company is able to help so many people in the region.

“There’s a great sense of pride in knowing that what we do on a day-to-day basis might help our neighbors who need it,” she said.
