Mitten Foundation gift to fund Mobile Pantries at west side schools

Mitten Brewing Foundation Annual Golf Outing check presentation

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich., February 27, 2023 — Feeding America West Michigan received a gift of $20,000 from its corporate partner, the Mitten Foundation. This gift will fund Mobile Food Pantries for west side schools in the Grand Rapids area.

In August, the Mitten Foundation hosted its annual golf outing to fundraise for Feeding America West Michigan. At the end of the event, they presented a check for $20,000 in support of the food bank’s Mobile Food Pantry program.

“Mitten Foundation has played a very important role in the fight against hunger on the west side of Grand Rapids,” said Feeding America West Michigan’s President and CEO, Kenneth Estelle. “With their generous gift, we are able to continue to support neighbors in need through our Mobile Food Pantry program.”
