The Livery’s Community Pint Night Funds 1,284 Meals

Southwest Michigan’s craft beer community packed the The Livery Microbrewery in Benton Harbor for Community Pint Night on February 9.

109 pints were consumed between 5 and 8 p.m., generating a $109 donation from The Livery. Patrons donated another $212 on top of that for a total of $321 raised. Because Feeding America West Michigan can distribute four meals for every dollar, the proceeds will provide 1,284 meals to those in need.

Feeding America West Michigan serves 40 counties in Michigan, stretching from the Indiana border through the Upper Peninsula. They provide food to 94 partner food pantries, soup kitchens, and child hunger-relief agencies in Berrien County alone.

Thanks to the warm reception their partnership received from patrons, Food Bank and brewery staff are already planning a follow-up event later this year. Stay tuned.
